Experienced Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recentlystated that Solskjaer could have lost his job as the Manchester United manager in the wake of the heavy home defeat to Liverpool if not for Sir Alex Ferguson who was able to use his influence to ask for more time from the other board members with the conviction that Solskjaer has what it takes to turn the current run of poor form around for the better.
